All About Tuberculosis

Privacy Policy

This privacy policy explains what All About Tuberculosis, a tuberculosis (TB) information website, collects when you visit it. The site asks you for nothing, and it uses Google Analytics and display ads.

The site is run by Ali Hassan Mahay, in his own name and not through a company, from Pakistan. He is responsible for this policy.

What we do not collect

  • No forms. The site has no contact form, quote form or sign-up form.
  • No accounts. You cannot register or log in as a reader.
  • No leads. Nothing is sold here, and we do not gather names or details for anyone.
  • No comments. Comments are closed on every page.

The skin-test reader on some pages works inside your browser. The numbers you enter are not sent to us or stored.

Hosting and server records

The site is hosted by Hostinger and served through Hostinger's content delivery network. Like any web host, its servers receive the technical details a browser sends to load a page. These include your IP address and the page you asked for.

If you email us

If you email the editor, we receive your email address and your message. We use them only to reply and to fix any error you report.

Messages to aatuberculosis@gmail.com are held in a Gmail account, so Google stores them.

We keep a message until the matter it raises is resolved, and then delete it.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to see which pages are read and how visitors move through the site. It sets cookies and collects data such as pages viewed, time on page, device type, browser and approximate location.

Google processes this data under its own privacy policy, at https://policies.google.com/privacy. You can block Google Analytics with Google's opt-out add-on, at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Google Search Console is in use too. It reports how the site appears in Google search and sets no cookie on your device.

Advertising and cookies

Display advertising pays for the site, and Google AdSense serves it. Ads appear only in set places on a page, and some pages carry none.

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your earlier visits to this site or other sites. Google's advertising cookies let it and its partners show you ads based on those visits.

You can turn off personalized advertising in Google's ad settings, at https://adssettings.google.com. Some other vendors' cookies can be refused at https://www.aboutads.info.

Visitors from the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland are asked for consent before advertising cookies are set. You can change your choice at any time through the consent link on the page.

If we add or change an ad network, this section will name it before its ads appear.

Links to other sites

Our pages link to CDC, WHO and other sources. Those sites have their own privacy policies, which apply once you leave this site.

Changes to this policy

When the site starts collecting anything new, this policy is updated first. The date at the end of this page shows the latest version.
